We are excited that you’re planning to run in one of Beyond Monumental’s events. There are a number of great training programs that will get you ready to run at your desired pace to cross the finish line. These include several wonderful national charity programs, online training programs and regional training programs.
Since founding Personal Best Training in 1991, Coach Matt Ebersole has worked with more than 7,000 runners of all abilities and aspirations. He has helped thousands run their first or best half and full marathons, hundreds qualify for the Boston Marathon, and 8 qualify for the Olympic Trials. Matt offers group training programs and highly individualized private coaching to help runners get faster, pursue new challenges, or simply have more fun running. He has also served as the Elite Athlete and Pace Team Coordinator for the Monumental Marathon since 2013.
Indy Runners’ Fall Race Training Program for full and half marathons is FREE to club members. (Not a member yet? Join Indy runners!) The program begins in July and continues each Saturday through the CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon. Runners and walkers meet at the wooden deck at the corner of Westfield Blvd and Winthrop Ave. in Broad Ripple at 7:30 AM. This informal program includes suggested distances and routes, water stops and continual encouragement and support, as well as access to Indy Runners’ 5 additional group runs/walks throughout the week. Routes include the Monon, Canal Towpath, Butler University, Williams Creek and parts of the Monumental Marathon course.
This program is appropriate for all paces and experience levels. Special events during the Training Program include an organized run on a 9-mile special of the CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental MArathon course and the annual “Run the Monon” event from Carmel (20-mile training run) or Broad Ripple (11-mile training run) to downtown, followed by lunch. NIFS Fall Half and Full Marathon Training Program will prepare you for the CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon and half marathon on November 3, 2018, by providing you with a 12-week training program and weekly long runs with a training coach. The program will run from August 15th- November 3rd.
- 30-minute pre-program training meeting with program coordinator designed to:
- Review your training goals
- Establish your current running pace
- Answer questions you might have about training or competing in a race.
- Weekly runs with a training group and coaching throughout the course
- On-site coaching each week of training and coaches available throughout the program to guide your training and help you determine your training pace
- Helpful running handouts and tips
- Weekly e-newsletter
- Custom Program T-shirt

Training will be on Wednesdays at6 AM OR 6 PM at NIFS. Please choose a time when you sign up. Full marathon runners will also meet on Saturday’s at 7 AM for 8 miles or longer distance runs.

Team Film is an organization to encourage women to go beyond their physical comfort zones through support, connections, adventures and serious fun. CRC is a volunteer-operated, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization promoting healthy lifestyles through running, walking, and social opportunities in Carmel, Indiana and the surrounding communities.
CRC promotes running and walking opportunities year-round by hosting multiple group runs and walks each week. These outings are for everyone regardless of age or pace. The club also provides training programs for runners and walkers targeting longer distance races in the spring and fall. These include optional, recommended distances and routes.
Social interaction is also a vital component in the club’s impact on its membership. Pre and post-race socials are enjoyed by members. We also schedule non-race related socials on a regular basis and encourage family participation to be able to include non-runners/walkers as well.

The Westfield Running Club (WRC) was founded by Angie Smitherman and Joel Rush in April 2015. The group’s mission is to promote an active lifestyle while building relationships through supporting and mentoring our members. Group runs are on Tuesdays at 6:00 PM and Saturday mornings at 8:00 AM. WRC utilize all of Westfield’s trails but do occasionally venture out to join other surrounding running clubs. Welcome to the home of Queen City Running & Walking Club – now in its 4th year in the Greater Cincinnati area. Whether you are an experienced or novice runner, run/walker or walker, the Queen City Running & Walking Club has a program for you. The current group membership is over 700 runners & walkers, which simply means that you will have plenty of company out on the roads and during our workouts.
Fall Marathon Training – Running & Run/Walk
Our Fall Marathon Running training kicks off on July 7 for the CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon as one of the club’s goal training races. The club can easily cater to those with a different race in mind. Queen City Running & Walking Club will offer a variety of mid-week workout options – Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at various sites around the Cincinnati & West Chester areas. Saturday mornings will be the primary long run workout, with Sunday morning makeup runs always an option. Queen City Running & Walking Club will provide “on-course” coach/pace group support, monthly training schedule, planned workout routes, hydration/nutrition stations along routes, safety lights (when needed) and plenty of motivation and support that comes with the “team-like” environment. This program is open to experienced and first-time marathoners alike, but they do ask that 5-6 miles is a comfortable distance for you when starting out.
Fall Marathon season is the best! Regardless of where you are headed for your big event, Fleet Feet has your training covered. Fleet Feet Cincinnati’s comprehensive and adjustable fall training plans will allow participants to customize for most of all major fall marathons; including the CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon.

There are TONS of options for fall full or half marathons, The trouble is that all of them are 26.2 or 13.1 miles, and that is hard to train for all by yourself! Join us at Tri-State Running Company to train for a fall full or half marathon. We target our training programs for the Monumental Marathon (Full & Half), but feel free to sign up for whichever one you like! We’ll again have two training group locations this year! One that meets at our store in Edgewood, KY and another that meets at our store in Mariemont, OH.

This community is open to runners and walkers of ALL paces. Fleet Feet Louisville will be training for the CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Full Marathon on November 3rd, 2018.

Whether you choose the marathon or half-marathon, Indianapolis is a great place to race. The summer-long runs will again target the CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon, which this year is on November 3.
