There are a number of great training programs that will get you ready to run at your desired pace to cross the finish line. These include several wonderful national charity programs, online training programs and regional training programs.

Since founding Personal Best Training in 1991, Coach Matt Ebersole has worked with over 6,000 runners of all abilities and aspirations. He has helped thousands run their first half and full marathons, hundreds qualify for the Boston Marathon, and 7 qualify for the Olympic Trials. FREE TRAINING PLANS

In partnership with the IMM, Matt has provided these FREE Training Plans to help you prepare for your spring half marathon.

The "Finisher" plan is designed for a runner currently comfortable with 3-5 miles and 3-4 days of running a week. The primary goal is to finish a half marathon happily and healthfully. This plan averages 21 miles a week and builds up to a peak of 28.

"Pacer(s)" should be comfortable with 5-8 miles and 4-5 days of running a week. The primary concern is to achieve a goal time. This plan averages 29-32 miles a week and tops out at 38-42 depending on choosing the 4 or 5 training day option.

"Racer(s)" are concerned with time and place and are looking to be challenged. They should already be comfortable with 6-10 miles and 5-6 days per week. This plan has a 5 or 6 day per week option and averages 37-41 weekly miles and builds up to 47-52 miles.

Runner's Forum Training for a fall half/full marathon? The Monumental Marathon and many others are just around the corner. Join the Runners Forum training program and we will help you achieve your goal! The Runners Forum's fall training program is led by Matt Ebersole, owner of Personal Best Training with 20+ years of coaching experience, and the Runners Forum's experienced staff of participant athletes. The fall training program offers the best value and most convenient training program options available in Indianapolis featuring 5 mid-week run locations across Indianapolis and group long runs on Saturday. All experience levels and abilities are welcome!

Team In Training - Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Team in Training is a group of athletes coming together to fundraise and train for a common mission - to cure blood cancers. CINCINNATI:

Running Spot Pig Cookout Bob Roncker's Running Spot (Cincinnati, OH) and its 800+ member fall marathon/half marathon training group are pleased to partner up with the IMM for this year's event. Our training group is comprised of runners and walkers who train together year-round for a variety of different events - beginning with Cincinnati's Flying Pig Marathon in May and culminating with Cincinnati's Thanksgiving Day 10K Race in late November.

This will be our first time coming to Indy for the IMM and we are extremely excited about it. We have heard plenty of positive feedback and the thought of a Saturday race instead of a Sunday race was a huge plus for many of us!

Second Wind Running Club logo Join us this summer and early fall for the Club Distance Runs! These runs will help you get ready for our fall road trip to the Monumental Half-Marathon or Marathon on November 1, 2014. Each run will be hosted by one of our summer distance run coordinators. There will be aid at the start/finish and the routes will be loop courses in Champaign-Urbana or Mahomet so you can train for either the half or full marathon.
