Since founding Personal Best Training in 1991, Coach Matt Ebersole has worked with over 7,000 runners of all abilities and aspirations. He has helped thousands run their first half and full marathons, hundreds qualify for the Boston Marathon, and 7 qualify for the Olympic Trials. Matt offers group training programs and highly individualized private coaching to help runners get faster, pursue new challenges, or simply have more fun running. Among his many coaching accolades Matt has coached two past champions and a runner-up of the Indianapolis Monumental Marathon.




IMM Partner Club - Indy Runners and Walkers

The 10th annual Indy Runners Fall Race Training Program for full and half marathons returns! This program is FREE to club members. (Not a member yet? Join us!) The program begins Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 7:30am and continues each Saturday on the wooden deck at the corner of Westfield Blvd and Winthrop Ave. in Broad Ripple. This informal program will suggest distances preparing participants for October/November races, including the Monumental Marathon. Routes will include the Monon, Canal Towpath, loops through Butler, Williams Creek and parts of the Monumental marathon course. We averaged 70-100 participants per week last year!

Highlights of the Training Program include a large "Run on the Course Day" featuring 9-miles on the Course (roughly 10-19) with support from the IMM staff and "Run the Monon" event from Carmel to downtown with lunch included (20-mile and 11-mile options).

IMM Partner Club - NIFS NIFS Fall Half and Full Marathon Training Program prepares you for the Monumental Marathon and half marathon on November 7, 2015 by providing you with a 16-week training program and weekly long runs with a training coach. Program runs July 22nd- November 4th.

Program Includes:

Days and Times: All participants attend training sessions on Wednesdays at 6:00p from 7/22-11/4. Monumental Marathon runners will also meet on select Saturday's 8/15-10/31 at 7am for high mileage runs.

IMM Partner Club - Team In Training - Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Team in Training is a group of athletes coming together to fundraise and train for a common mission - to cure blood cancers. All Team in Training athletes have the opportunity to train with the team and will have access to coaches every step of the way!

IMM Partner Club - Queen City Running Club

For the Fall training, we will be offering two different training options - an Ohio group & a Kentucky group - for both marathoners & half marathoners. The Ohio group begins on Tuesday, July 7 and will meet regularly on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 pm at locations in and around the Hyde Park, Oakley & Norwood areas. The Kentucky group begins on Wednesday, July 8 and will meet on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm in Newport & Covington.

On Saturdays, we will have the Ohio and Kentucky Marathoners meet together at 7:00 am; and have the Ohio and Kentucky Half Marathoners meet together at 7:30 am. These groups will primarily meet in Hyde Park, Oakley, Norwood, Newport & Covington.

For those with Saturday conflicts, we will be offering a Sunday morning make-up session at 7:30 am, which will rotate between Hyde Park & Newport primarily.

On the coaching front, Joe Brinkmann will be coordinating things for the Half Marathon group, and Sarah Blackert will be the lead for the Marathon group. If you have any specific questions, you can reach Joe at queencityrunningclub@gmail.com and Sarah at fitnessfreak@cinci.rr.com.

IMM Partner Club - Fleet Feet

Fall Marathon season is the best! This year the Monumental Marathon in Indy is our Official Destination Marathon & Half. This means all sorts of training and race day perks will be available to those who are training with us and running a Monumental event.

And regardless of where you are headed for your big event, we've got your training covered. Our comprehensive and adjustable fall training plans will allow us to customize for most all major fall marathons. And since the Monumental Marathon in Indy is our Official Fall Destination Event, we will structure our base schedule around it's early November race day. Our coaches and staff also plan to attend the event and support our runners who run the race with our tents on Running Club Row at the finish line area!

IMM Partner Club - House of Run N Tri

Group will meet regularly on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 pm and on Saturday mornings at 7:30/8:00 am. The Monumental Half Marathon program is excellent for first-time half-marathoners, run-walkers and walkers as well. It is also excellent for experienced runners just wanting to maintain their training, or set a half marathon PR. The Monumental Marathon program is open to runners and run-walkers alike, whether you are trying to qualify for Boston, set a PR or just trying to "finish" your first one.

IMM Partner Club - Tri State Running Company There are TONS of options for fall full or half marathons, The trouble is that all of them are 26.2 or 13.1 miles, and that is hard to train for all by yourself! Join us at Tri-State Running Company to train for a fall full or half marathon.

We target our training programs for the Monumental Marathon (Full & Half), but feel free to sign up for whichever one you like! We'll again have two training group locations this year! One that meets at our store in Edgewood, KY and another that meets at our store in Mariemont, OH.

IMM Partner Club - Fleet Feet Louisville

The Fleet Feet Sports Marathon Training Program will officially kick off on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 7:00 am at the store. This group is open to runners, walkers, and run/walkers of all paces and levels of experience! This program is 17 weeks. The program includes three weekly group workouts with mapped courses, coaches, weekly emails, vendor sponsored runs, an official training tee, free yoga and much more! Weekly workouts begin at our store every Monday and Wednesday at 6:30 pm and Saturdays at 7:00 am. Registration for training is $100 and does not include the price of race registration. Are you ready to start thinking about a fall marathon or half-marathon? The Indianapolis Monumental Marathon is becoming a tradition for our club as a destination race. Whether you choose the marathon or half-marathon, Indianapolis is a great place to race. Our summer long runs will again target the Indianapolis Monumental Marathon, which this year is on November 7. Our long runs, combined with our Tuesday night fun runs and Wednesday night track workouts, are a great way to get ready for the fall race of your choice.
