RunSafer - Todd Williams
Todd Williams started his athletic career in Monroe, Michigan as a youngster participating in every sport before transitioning to track and cross country. He received a full athletic scholarship to attend the University of Tennessee. He was four time SEC Champion and eight time All-American. After graduating he went on to qualify for two Olympic Games 1992-1996 in the 10,000m.
After retiring from the professional running stage Todd decided to challenge himself in the world of Brazillian Jiu Jitsu. Eight years later and countless hours studying and training Todd received his black belt from legendary instructor Luiz Palhares January 2011.
In January of 2013 Todd combined his two passions, running and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, to create RunSafer. RunSafer's purpose is to educate all individuals, from kids to adults, on the importance of self-defense and safety awareness. As the only man in the world to achieve Olympian status (1992-1996) on the track, and a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt (January 2011) on the mat he brings a unique combination of experience.
